For

Families

As your advocate, we develop a plan and provide guidance on how to effectively
navigate the special education process to ensure your child receives an appropriate education with necessary supports. There are several ways Mrs. Hightower works with families. From an initial short-term consultation to long-term “hands-on” advocacy service for your family, Lorraine offers cost-effective advocacy service packages based on your unique needs.
Lorraine is passionate about helping families and will ensure that you have the essential information and recommendations you need for your child to be successful!

From helping families determine what their child needs in order to be successful to attending school meetings, she is there with each family every step of the way.  Some families need more support as they navigate the special education process and are interested in IEP development, ongoing progress monitoring, assistance with dispute resolution and more. Reach out and for a complimentary discovery call to get started.

Lorraine collaborates and partners with leaders at every level to develop and enhance legislation to ensure every child with dyslexia is supported.  Her knowledge and advocacy efforts, in partnership with parents of Decoding Dyslexia Virginia (DDVA), have been instrumental in getting several bills developed and passed.

For Communities

We provide educational workshops for service providers in our community, such as pediatricians and parent advocacy groups, on how to proactively support families when it comes to learning disabilities and the special education process in schools.
